About Elaine Davies
Elaine Davies
was born and raised in Illinois and has a BA from Northwestern University in
Evanston, Illinois. She studied nursing
at Evanston Hospital School of Nursing and became an RN in 1967. She received her MSW (Masters in Social
Work) degree from Indiana University in 1982.
She studied and practiced psychodrama, Adlerian Psychology and Cognitive
Behavioral therapies before finding energy psychology and energy medicine.
Before moving
from Indiana to the Atlanta area in July, 2004, she was in the business of
treating mental health issues as a psychiatric nurse and licensed clinical
social worker. With over 30 years of
clinical practice, she became increasingly aware of how inseparable are the
mind and body. When she learned about
energy psychology and energy medicine, she found faster, more comfortable
interventions to alleviate emotional and physical distress than
insight-oriented and cognitive therapy.
She witnessed that even severe Post Traumatic Stress Disorder in war
survivors in West Africa responded beautifully.
Elaine
established Whole Health Corrections in 2005.
She officially retired from nursing and social work and expanded her practice to deal with the dynamics of what many others consider physical or
medical conditions. She now works with mental and emotional issues
as well as physical ailments such as allergies, arthritis, overeating, insomnia, and fibromyalgia.
Elaine is
married and has two adult children and one grandchild. She is active in her church and in Bread for
the World, does Biblical Storytelling and enjoys needlework, camping and
clogging.
She welcomes
your partnership in the quest for healing and health.
